APA California Community Assistance Program (CPAT)
In partnership with APA California, PEN offers a program that provides volunteer urban and rural planning assistance to financially constrained municipalities and community groups throughout California and Baja California.

California Planning History
Planning history in California is an important part of the PEN legacy. In partnership with the Chapter Historian, PEN assists with the preservation of important planning documents in the Chapter archives at California State University, Northridge. Planner Remembrance Program
In 2020, the APA California Board approved a Planner Remembrance Program to annually recognize planners who passed away the preceding year. PEN delivers this important program to California Chapter APA members during a plenary session at the Chapter Conference each year. The program recognizes planners who practiced in California and their contribution to the profession and the communities they served during their career.
